Slowly’s Masato Komatsu and Ryo Kawahara have launched another project, Lost Weekend!

Lost Weekend is a fictional soundtrack to a weekend lost to the Covid19 disaster, with mellow, endless melodies and lo-fi, dubby, effects-processed soundscapes. The band pulled out various materials from their vast drawer and created this collection at once.

The mellow “Lost Weekend Suite” is the highlight of the album. Sunshine is Golden" and “Sweet Thing” are impressive with their exotic and moody samples. “It’s Not Over Yet,” a reworking of the smash hit “Not Over You” under the Slowly moniker, and finishing with “At Last I Am Free,” originally by Chic and famously performed by Robert Wyatt.

This is a new masterpiece of exotic – Balearic and chill-out music.
