Singer songwriter Melanie's first four albums for Buddah Records, dating from 1968, 1969 and 1970. She first enjoyed European success with a French No. 1, 'Bobo's Party', and a Dutch hit, 'Beautiful People'. It was her Woodstock-inspired worldwide hit 'Lay Down (Candles In The Rain)' that broke her to a huge audience.
