COSMIC JOKE is bridging the gap between the gritty authenticity of '80s and '90s Los Angeles, CA hardcore with the melodic hooks of SoCal skate punk - a sound that hearkens back to the glory days of Epitaph Records as much as it does the basements and clubs of New Jersey that spawned bands like LIFETIME and KID DYNAMITE.Since releasing their demo in 2021, COSMIC JOKE has released two 12" records, both split releases between renowned underground hardcore record labels Triple B and Hardlore, the label founded by the host of one of the scene's most popular podcasts.Frontman Mac Miller is the roadie of the stars, the primary road dog for Rev alum DRAIN, and drummer Niki Vahle has been recognized as one of LA's best up-and-coming chefs by the Michelin Guide for his restaurant Little Fish.Upon the release of the band's debut Revelation Records LP Suburban Decay, COSMIC JOKE will embark on a European tour with Triple B Records' BAD BEAT that includes shows with YOUTH OF TODAY, SHELTER, and appearances at multiple festivals.
