A retro-future space spoof with disco-era swagger, this romp watches a new second-in-command (Liv Tyler) try to steer a misfit crew orbiting their own dramas. Patrick Wilson's captain is equal parts swagger and self-inflicted trouble, and the production design leans into pulp textures and neon kitsch. The fun is in the tonal tightrope: deadpan absurdity played with just enough sincerity to keep the ship aloft. Co-stars Matt Bomer and Marisa Coughlan.
