Growing Pains (Vinyl)

GROWING PAINS is my first attempt ever at a somewhat conceptual and full project. It's my first sonic art piece. I did three versions of the demos before coming to something I was happy with. The cover art and it's distortion is to represent the confusion, fear, anxiety, depression and mess it is of me finding myself on this new music/life journey and the death of an older version of me. In the music there's a lot of references to spirituality, my frustration with the youth and my people, & self empowerment lines/verses. GROWING PAINS is an extension of me and if you're a thinker who lives life through questions and concerns... this poetry is for you. Thanks to johnboybeats for engineering the bulk of the tape and producing "Black Petunia" and Sean for his little contribution on songs like "Woo-SAH". Jbeezy did the original photography, givencash is the genius behind the art, and ice. Eys did the track listing art.
