After over 1,000 live shows and more than a decade of touring behind studio albums, Heather Maloney will release her first live album, No Shortcuts: Live at the Academy. Recorded with a band and a soaring string quartet in her hometown of Northampton, MA, the album features sixteen songs spanning Maloney's 13 year career. Maloney writes, "This album reflects the 13 years that I've been writing music and touring. It's a retrospective/celebration of all the twists, turns, bumpy rides and smooth sailing along the way." No Shortcuts is more than just a recording of those songs, it's a recording of the interaction, nuance, presence and joy that only unfolds in real time, when real live music and real live people share a real live space together.
