Grey October Sound, a prominent production team that gained attention with quality lo-fi hip-hop compilations like Timeless and The Cave, has become a sensation both in Japan and abroad with releases such as Lo-Fi Ghibli, which covers theme songs from Studio Ghibli films, and Lo-Fi Anime, which covers popular Japanese anime songs. They have now announced the release of the highly anticipated second installment in their City Pop cover series, Lo-Fi City Pop 2. Continuing from the previous release, this new album features popular tracks from 1980s city pop, which have been rearranged by GOS. The visual concept, familiar to fans of their works like Lo-Fi Ghibli, is handled by Rika Nagatani.
