Release Details

Celebrated British pianist Martin Jones recorded the complete piano music of Jean Roger-Ducasse in 2015 (NI5927 3CDs). Along with Ravel, Roger-Ducasse joined the composition class of Gabriel Faure. In 1902 he won the second Grand Prix de Rome with Ravel gaining fourth prize. His style is not impressionist but descends from Chopin and more closely aligns with Faure.
