Radio Remind Me is an exploration of time, memory, and nostalgia (or anemoia), and the title was chosen to reflect these themes. In addition to the sounds of ticking clocks, chimes, and church bells throughout, the songs include lyrical and sonic allusions to the work of artists such as Elvis, Dolly Parton, Paul Simon, and The Beach Boys, forming a thematic throughline of artists haunted by time.
