The album also features Charlie Stamper, a fiddle player who comes from an Appalachian lineage of mountain players: his daddy was field-recorded, and his brother played with Bill Monroe. He is a true, previously unknown source of the pre-war style that provided the root to all forms of modern bluegrass, blues, and country music.
