Little Girl Blue was Nina Simone’s first studio recording and the album that introduced her unmistakable voice and piano style to the world. Recorded in December 1957, the sessions capture Simone at the very beginning of her recording career, blending jazz, blues, and classical influences with striking emotional clarity.

The album includes some of her most enduring performances, notably ‘I Loves You Porgy’ and ‘My Baby Just Cares For Me’, which would later become defining pieces of her legacy.
