Then, a disturbed boy seeking love plants a seed that turns into "The Grandmother" (1970), with Richard White, Dorothy McGinnis and Virginia Maitland, while "The Amputee" (1974) finds Catherine Coulson attempting to write a letter as her nurse (portrayed by Lynch) tends to her wounds; and the made-for-French-TV comedy "The Cowboy and the Frenchman" (1988) stars Harry Dean Stanton as a frustrated rancher who witnesses an odd occurrence.
