Philadelphia's A Country Western return with a record that pushes the sound they've spent nearly a decade building, arriving with less of the immediacy that drove 2024's Life on the Lawn. Electronic textures surface in the seams between guitar parts and across the instrumental passages, while several songs settle into slow burns that reward patience over impact. Their command of dynamics is as sharp as ever, and the space between quiet and loud is still where these songs live. Audition Tape came together in thirds... demos tracked at home, sessions at the band's Philly studio space, and a weekend with Dan Angel (recently of TAGABOW's Lotto). Mixed by the band, Ian Norris (Taurus Judge, Menu), and Angel. Mastered by Alex Nagle, and closed out with a sneaky Solvent OS remix. Audition Tape is available on LP, CD, cassette tape physical formats.
