The set includes 13 CDs with works by, among others, Scarlatti, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and Tchaikovsky. 'This edition bears the title 'Aveu passionne'-on the one hand because of the Tchaikovsky piece of the same name (in English, 'Passionate Confession'), and on the other because of my most intimate connection to all the works gathered here,' says Boris Bloch. 'Of his diligence'-as Lessing puts it-'everyone may boast.' Well then: this edition documents nothing more and nothing less than the eternal and unattainable goal of grasping at the stars beyond.
