In 2016, a copy of Panchiko's 2000 demo, 'd E A T H M E T A L', turned up in a Nottingham charity shop. When a listener posted it to 4chan, the forgotten demo - and the band behind it - began to find a new audience. The original members, Andy Wright, Owain Davies, and Shaun Ferreday, eventually reunited with Robert Harris, taking Panchiko from internet mystery to sold-out shows around the world.'Chimera' draws on the strange blur of life on the road: changing landscapes, long distances, and days that blend together. Produced by Panchiko and CJ Mirra, the album builds on Panchiko's mix of guitars and electronics, with guest appearances from Mei Semones, billy woods, Abby Sage, Clarion, and Korea Girl. It's music the band couldn't have made when they first started writing and a record shaped by where they've been since.
