John Nilsen & SWIMFISH have released their fifth album, The Future Of The Past. The album features excellent Americana / rock songwriting which features three part harmonies that soar above an impressive bed of instrumentation. The songs blend rock, pop, and folk with organic instrument choices of acoustic and electric 6 and 12 string guitars, piano, organ, drums, percussion and electric and acoustic bass. The production and performances are top notch. The thing about this album, though, is it just feels so good from start to finish. There is musical cohesion that delivers big time.John Nilsen, an internationally acclaimed Yamaha Piano Artist and guitarist, has sold well over one million CDs. He was honored by his alma mater in honor of his musical contributions and success in the field of the performing arts. Nilsen was also inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame in 2024.
