U.S. Progressive/Melodic Death Metal duo, Iapetus, have returned! The band is set to release their first new album since 2019's critically acclaimed, The Body Cosmic! Willowtip will release the new opus, The Mother Void, on October 16.Joining core members Matthew Cerami and Jordan Navarro on the album is featured vocalist Fabienne Erni of Eluveitie, along with several notable guest musicians, including drummer Brody Taylor Smith (Invent Animate), guitarist Benji Baret (Ne Obliviscaris), and vocalist Frank Harper (Caelestra).Iapetus released the following statement concerning The Mother Void:""The Mother Void is the story of a mother and a son; of mankind and the cosmos; of feeling destined to failure in a world designed to destroy.
