The long-awaited second album from the Fuse Otohito Trio. A picture scroll of sound, created by each musician playing what they heard at the time, with music themed around landscapes and religious concepts.The trio's second album, 'Thus Have I Heard,' features all original compositions by Fuse, just like their previous album, 'Isolated' (released March 2024). However, each song is more thematically focused than their previous work, drawing inspiration from landscapes and religious concepts. The album also emphasizes a sense of continuity throughout. 'Thus Have I Heard' is the English translation of the phrase 'Thus Have I Heard,' found at the beginning of Chinese Buddhist scriptures, meaning 'Thus I have heard.' Every work is an expression of the world as seen by the creator. This is why the album is imbued with the desire to cherish 'what I heard at the time' above all else.The trio has been performing together since the end of 2020, and in recent years have frequently performed not only as a trio but also in various front-line arrangements. The same members also served as the rhythm section for Kaito Nakamura's second album, 'Invisible Diary' (released March 2025). This album captures the constantly changing trio as they move forward in May 2025. TheCD also comes with a 20-page booklet containing essays on the album title 'Thus Have I Heard' and the thoughts behind each song, along with landscape photographs taken by Fuse himself.Song List1.
