Alessandro Stradella (1643-1682) was one of the most gifted and original Italian composers of the seventeenth century. Active during the transition from the early Baroque to the mature Baroque style, he made significant contributions to vocal and instrumental music, particularly the Sinfonias for Strings, which reveal his remarkable creativity.Stradella's Sinfonias for Strings occupy an important place in the development of orchestral music.
