Ralph Stanley established himself long ago as America's foremost singer of traditional mountain music. His instantly recognizable voice has earned him Grammys, a Grand Ole Opry membership, an honorary doctorate degree, a place in the bluegrass hall of fame and a very good living. The eighteen songs on this collection represent nearly 30 years of recording for Dr Stanley. Most of the clawhammer songs he's recorded for Rebel are here including nine previously unreleased tracks.
