Shanghai, 1937: During a Japanese bombing raid, newly enlisted nightclub comic Tung (Kenny Bee) huddled under a bridge for safety with Shu-Shu (Sylvia Chang)... and he promised he'd come to her at that spot after the war. Doing so 10 years later to no avail, he took an apartment-not expecting that she was his downstairs neighbor, or that he'd be getting into a triangle with her flighty roomie (Sally Yeh).
