Formed by Yusuke Chiba (Vo), Futoshi Abe (G), Kazuyuki Kuhara (Dr), and Koji Ueno (B), Thee Michelle Gun Elephant made their debut with 'Sekai no Owari' on February 1, 1996. The rock band enjoyed a cult-like following before disbanding on October 11, 2003. Abe tragically passed away in 2009, and with Chiba's death in 2023, after years of performing with Kuhara in The Birthday, the band has cemented it's legendary status.
